2. When I am trying something new to eat, I can’t help sniffing it occasionally.
3. My favorite thing to cook is whatever is quick and easy.
4. Crisp gala apples are something I can’t get enough of.
5. That’s the thing I love most about my life is sharing it with my dog, Dannan.
6. People driving the wrong way down a one-way street always makes me think to myself, what the heck?
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to doing some reading, tomorrow my plans include voting in our municipal election, and Sunday, I want to eat lasagna!


1. My blueprint for success includes access to an eraser.

2. A Halloween-sized Aero chocolate bar was the last candy I ate.

3. The best facial moisturizer I’ve ever used is some product made by Dove.  (A real priority for me, obviously!)

4. Screaming at the top of your lungs can be good therapy.

5. I’d like to tell you about my dog, Dannan.  (I know, he totally dominates my conversation!)

6. My curiosity is my strongest characteristic.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to reading more of Stolen Innocence by Elissa Wall with Lisa Pulitzer, tomorrow my plans include the typical trip to the dog groomer’s to get Dannan’s nails cut and Sunday, I want to work on my Christmas cards!

1. One of the best concerts/plays/movies I ever saw that I really didn’t think I’d like was The Dark Knight.  (Sorry, Janet – it was all the hype!  I distrust hype…)

2. Chicken gai yang is a recipe I recently made (or meal I recently ordered) that was delicious!

3. It’s time for getting out the winter clothes and packing away the summer ones.  And finding my gloves!

4. A crisp wind on a sunny day is quite refreshing.

5. If I never hear the words “breed specific legislation” again, it’ll be too soon.

6. To one side of the curving road was a railway track, and on the other was the back of a cookie-cutter subdivision.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to going to bed early to get rid of my blasted headache, tomorrow my plans include writing the book review I was supposed to write today, and Sunday, I want to have a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with my parents!

I forgot it was Friday, been a day behind all week!

1. Asserting myself on committees and reading my R.I.P. books are some of the things I’m most looking forward to in October.

2. Sometimes I wonder how I ended up here.

3. Mice are much scarier than spiders, and that’s why there is a saying, “never say never”!

4. When I’m down, I spend time cuddling with my dog.

5. Home is where you’ll find me most often.

6. A rainy day is good for curling up and reading a good book.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to visiting with my sister, BIL, and nephew, tomorrow my plans include a wine tasting at Bon’s and Sunday, I want to go shopping with my sis!

I can’t believe it’s Friday already!  That means it’s time for:

1. There is no need to wonder;  the answer is within you.

2. Where in the heck did the week go?

3. Tuning out is all I managed to do.

4. Prospects for huge change in my life have been revealed.

5. Financial institutions should not be de-regulated is the message.

6. Simplicity and tranquility are two things I aspire to.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to my scary task being over, tomorrow my plans include eating fresh beets and Sunday, I want to have an inbox full of SPCA newsletter contributions!

And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to reading one of the new books that I’m going to buy today, tomorrow my plans include taking Dannan to get his nails cut and to the dog park (or to see my parents) and Sunday, I want to revel in having the house to myself (and maybe have a big PARTY!  Just kidding, don’t all show up, ok?)!
